Hello everybody! Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Lauren and I am 21 years old. I am a plus-sized girl and have struggled with my weight for my entire life. Recently I became involved with a wonderful group of plus-sized women that are trying to make changes in their lives and inspire others to make these changes as well. I have been doing this with the help of a beachbody coach and I have come to love it! Ive tried tons of things and this is the one that works for ME! Im at a point on my journey where I am ready to start helping others for my own accountability and to start making a difference.
My coach started Insanity at over 330 lbs, and today is around 250/260 and looks fantastic. She has taught me that its okay not to be an after, that there is a journey before the before and after pictures and that journey is beautiful. In our plus-size support groups we teach positive mindsets, clean eating, following a consistent exercise program, and most importantly celebrating non-scale victories. These victories are the inches lost, the more energized you will start to feel, and all those little things that happen on a daily basis that dont rely on reinforcement from the number on the scale.
Personally Ive been doing Insanity Max 30 with the 21 day fix eating plan and it makes me feel amazing about myself and I have non-scale victories every day (and even scale victories!). I honestly want to help others, and the first step to that is starting an open dialogue with individuals that struggle with their weight or specific problems. Im graduating college this may and moving onto professional school so I have both intellectual and personal knowledge to offer. If you are interested in learning more about these plus-size support groups please let me know and I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Also, if you already are involved in another program or already have something that works for you Id still be happy to talk to you and provide motivation/support. My e-mail is: focklergal@yahoo.com
