Hey guys I used to be quite over weight and I just wanted to share some of the foods that I had that helped me lose the weight.
Vegetables
Firstly the vegetables you can have:
Beverages for weight loss
Moving on from vegetables now the drinks you can have are:
Carbs are the fuel for your body
I mentioned that you want to cut out carbs, and this is true however your body still needs the energy and carbs are what give you that energy.
You can have:
Fruits for fast energy
To get some fast energy in the morning you can have fruit. So you don’t want to be having anything that is too high in sugar, such as an over ripe banana however you can have:
Protein the building blocks to muscle growth
Protein is the main ingredient your body needs to grow muscle and as I mentioned earlier we want to get more muscle on your body to promote more fat burning so the proteins you are allowed to have are as follows:
Supplements
Now supplements are important mainly for the training.
Whilst training you may want to be having:
A good pre-workout as it will help with the energy that you have whilst training and also helps with the motivation for actually getting you to gym, it is also another growth source as it’s really good for pumping oxygen to your muscles.
A whey protein isolate (WPI) shake to be taken throughout the day, and a shake within 30 minutes after your exercise.
A good daily multi-vitamin - are the general idea with these is that it’s working on a balanced diet, with this diet however it is very limited and you’ll need to get more vitamins into your body so this is important
I hope this helps to start you off, it's not including everything but it should be a good starting point :)

Firstly the vegetables you can have:
- Broccoli
- Spinach
- Sweet potato
Beverages for weight loss
Moving on from vegetables now the drinks you can have are:
- Green tea or black tea - Tea is an excellent source of antioxidants which is really good for you and the tea will also help in burning fat as well.
- Black coffee (no sugar)
- Water - With water you want to be trying to have between 2-3 L of water a day, I know this is sometimes a hard thing to do particularly when you are sitting at a desk all day and you are stuck in the daily grind and new can’t get away from the desk however you do want to try and be having at least that 2 to 3 L of water each day.
Carbs are the fuel for your body
I mentioned that you want to cut out carbs, and this is true however your body still needs the energy and carbs are what give you that energy.
You can have:
- Brown rice not white rice, jasmine rice or anything else
- Nuts, such as almonds or pistachios
- Multigrain crackers
Fruits for fast energy
To get some fast energy in the morning you can have fruit. So you don’t want to be having anything that is too high in sugar, such as an over ripe banana however you can have:
- A just ripe banana (slightly green just turning yellow is best because it has less sugar)
- Green apples
- Green grapes (not too many as this is higher in sugar too)
- Oranges
- Grapefruit
- Mandarins
Protein the building blocks to muscle growth
Protein is the main ingredient your body needs to grow muscle and as I mentioned earlier we want to get more muscle on your body to promote more fat burning so the proteins you are allowed to have are as follows:
- Lean beef - so no fat or as little fat as possible, which means no lamb or pork which is really high in fat but instead beef steaks such as porterhouse or eye fillets and make sure that you cut off any excess fat that you see and then it should be okay
- Turkey or chicken breast (not thigh meat as that is also higher in fat) please make sure that you remove the skin as a lot of people think of this more tasty part but it also has the most fat.
- Soy proteins including but not limited to tofu
- Canned tuna - this is an great for another snack throughout the day
