New Year Challenge!!



1. Write down 4 actions you need to take that you have been putting off

(example Lose weight, eat healthier foods, increase activity, quit smoking, get out of a dysfunctional relationship, read more, start a business, stop swearing, invest in positive relationships, improve financial status)



2. Under each, write down why you have not taken action & what pain was associated to taking that action?

(wt loss example: not sure what to eat, finding time to exercise, not wanting to give up favorite indulgences, feeling safe by having a larger body, having to change how you eat, shop & live)



3. Write down all the pleasure you have had in the past by indulging in this negative behavior or pattern

(I get to eat what I want, i can do other things instead of exercise, I don't have to change - Change is painful, right??)



4. Write down what it will cost you if you do not change NOW!

Risk of chronic illness like heart disease, diabetes, back & joint pain

Despising the way I look in the mirror

Never attracting a decent mate or feeling attractive to the one I have

Lack of energy to do the things I love with people I care about

Buying large sized clothes instead of what I wish I could fit into

Shortening my life span & missing out on what could be!
