Hey everyone, im Ed and live just outside of Philly, PA. I have ridden sleds out west many times and in Maine a few times. Having the opportunity to ride on both coast, I can say it is night and day the West coast have some trails and more powder and the East coast are more trails and less powder. With that in mind I will be purchasing my first sled and will be looking to the more knowledgeable for advise. This is what I have been looking at. I want a Crossover, because I do like going off trails, unfortunately I need a sled that will fit a second seat because of the girlfriend, that does limit me in the type of Crossover I can buy.
I have narrowed it down to three and would like your feedback on them if possible.
In no particular order
1. The Arctic Cat 2016 XF 7000 CROSSTOUR but it has a Track Length of 146in and in my opinion I believe it may be to long for trails.
2. I am also looking at the Polaris 800 Switchback Adventure with a Track Length of 137in.
3. The last one is Ski Do Renegade Enduro 1200 4-TEC also with a Track Length of 137in
All three sleds have an optional 2up seat that can be removed when riding alone.
I will be riding in NY, Maine and VT and will not be hauling them out west.
Thanks for any feedback you can give.
