Ski skins!

Hello everyone. Well I've been busy doing other things, such as building a shed for my crap including the sleds. So now that I will be finishing up the shed in a couple weeks I want to get the sleds moved back there. They run so I was thinking of riding them back there but I don't want to tear up the grass with he skis. I was thinking of ski skins just for moving them. The AC has plastic skis, so removing the carbides may work there. But the Doo has steel skis. I was thinking the covers would do the trick. I was thinking about a dolly but on soft grass I don't think it would be very easy to move by hand.

Anyone have any other ideas?

2000 Z370 spark/stator issues

Me and my grandpa are rebuilding a 2000 Z370. We rebuilt the engine and added electric start. Now comes time to finally start it and there's no spark unless we unplug the stator (bypass key and kill switches). It runs good with the stator unplugged but we have to kill it by taking the plug wires off, which is an issue. All wires and plugs around the handle bars are in check but we can't figure out what is causing this. Any thoughts?

Polaris Ace 570 - New

I added a couple more toys to the garage in the form of two 2015 Polaris Ace 570s. They are really a different type of vehicle and are an absolute blast to ride. I'm leaving with the family to go to South Dakota on Saturday. I would highly recommend giving one of these things a test drive sometime.

Just got a 670 and have some problems

So hers the problem it is very very hard to pull over. Now I know they are generally hard because of the displacement, but mine is nearly impossible to pull the first pull. Then after that I can pull it over but still take all i have. Once its going and warm it will one pull start after the first pull locks up. I took the belt off and no change with the plugs out it is very easy to pull. other then that when is running you punch it around 2k it has a little bog then when the clutch grabs around 4400 it launches. Witch I heard is normal. Any ideas?

1983 Yamaha 440 Question

Hello there,
so I have an old 1983 Yamaha 440ss that I have a few questions about. So I got this sled as a gift a few years back without knowing much about how engines work, when I got it the sled ran just fine and I enjoyed taking it for rides through the trails near my house, the problem came around the start of last winter, when I took it for a test ride , it was losing a lot of power and blowing a ton of white smoke from the exhaust. I took it home and pulled out the plugs and they were wet and fouled pretty bad. I left it sit for the rest of the season and am now getting back to it because I want it to run right for next winter, I was thinking about removing the carburetor first and cleaning it. Like I said I don't have much knowledge about engines so i'm completely open to suggestions.

Thanks for reading and sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, First post in this forum :l

Attention - Password and Security Update

Hello all,

Over the next few days we will be implementing some changes to our forum password strength and password expiration policies. To make sure you continue having the best experience possible on the community, we regularly monitor the site and the Internet to keep everyone's account information safe. We've recently become aware of a potential risk to some accounts coming from outside of this community. Just to be safe, we are implementing the following changes to improve security even further:

1) We are asking everyone to change their passwords (and will force a one time reset). Along with every user on the forum, new passwords will need to be more complex, and can't be simple words (sorry, you can't have "fluffy" as your password anymore!). Please use a password unique to this community. Reusing passwords can expose your account indirectly when other websites (Twitter, Linkedin, Badoo, etc) are compromised; and

2) Your passwords will expire on a 365 day basis. When you login on the 366th day, you will have to change it.

We'll also be sending out an email to users to let them know about the changes, in upcoming weeks.

Thanks all,

Helena

Z370 No spark.

My 2000 Z370 has no spark and I'm looking for some ideas on how and what to test.
Here's what I can tell you so far... Sled was running well when put into storage a year ago but now has no spark. I eliminated the kill switch and TSS by unplugging it, no change. I unplugged the main connector coming out of the motor and still no spark. It seems something went bad just sitting during storage. Any ideas on a logical place to start with diagnosis?

Thanks.

1996 Polaris XLT SP 600 Triple value

I have a 96 Polaris XLT Special 600 triple. I bought it from a guy who let it sit since 09. I bought it for $300, The dude said he liked to ride it on 1 ski and rolled it a dozen times so the hood has a big crack on it. Also, the seat has tears and some bubbling on the back like it was too hot. I just started to rebuild the engine with new rings, a honed monoblock, and it has an entire top half gasket kit with it. How much is it worth if I sell it in its current state?

Water pump housing difference?

Howdy,

Getting a new "used" motor for my 2000 800 RMK, and was trying to figure out the water pump housing differences. The original housing has a very used up bearing and most likely the seal. Is there a difference between the housing and water pump on a 2002 800 RMK?
When I look on eBay, many are listed as 2001-2005. Not sure I see any difference? Earlier this year, I replace my 2001 700 RMK water pump and housing from a different year, and all seems fine....

Any advice would be appreciated......
Thanks
Bob
