OK,
Crazy day out on the trails. My buddy lost his motor on a 2001 800, where it looks like the motor seized, not sure if it lost the oil line right behind the clutch or what. It was the only thing I could find wrong, except for no coolant left in the tank, and the motor would not turn....
That is a for another thread, but I towed his sled back about 18 miles behind my 2008 600HO RMK, after I removed his belt.
Made it back to the snow park and my sled was warm, but it ran fine.
We turn off the sleds, and got the trailer backed up, I pulled on the 600 pull rope, and it was just free and did not turn the motor. Pulled again and it had no resistance, so we just pushed it on the trailer.
Here is the weird part, we drove back and unloaded my buddy's dead sled into my drive way, and I just thought I would give another yank on the 600, and it was fine??? We tried a few more times and it was fine....
Could the sled get hot enough to effect the pull start??? That just seems very strange to me. Any ideas???
Besides for having a dead sled in the driveway, it was a fun day all in all.......
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bob
